NOBEL Peace Prize

"Mr. Obama wins Nobel Peace Prize", this was the first news I read today morning. On 27th February 2009 Obama was nominated for Nobel peace prize along with other 204 nominations. This itself was very surprising since the nomination deadline for Nobel peace prize was 1st February 2009, which only happens to be 10 days after his taking oath as president of USA. Pardon my ignorance for not knowing his actions for peace in these 10 days and many more days and years before that. Do you know Obama before the US election campaign? So the nobel prize committee was well aware of all Obama's future actions.

Mahatma Gandhi didn't win the Nobel Peace Prize. Isn't it strange even though he was nominated five times? Do you think there was and there will ever be anyone born again on this planet who is more eligible than HIM. Now this made me think of what is NOBEL prize. Is this the benchmark for the peace? or is this another political gimmick?

Alfred Nobel who laid the foundation for the destructive weapons was the founder of this organization. Just think Again. That is all I have to say.

Trip to Nagarjun Sagar

03 Nov 2007, It was a bright sunny day and Lavanya and me started to Yatri Nivas at 7:00 am. I parked my vehicle inside and we waited in the AP tourism waiting lounge and our bus to Nagarjun Sagar was supposed to arrive at 7:30. It did come a couple of minutes early but we had to wait for another 30 min as a batch of girls boarded and made the driver wait till one of their friends come. So we started at 8:00am and reached there we had to wait for another 30min for remaining passengers. From there our actual journey started at 8:30am. Driver stoped us at a small hotel for breakfast at 11:00am, we had masala dosa and idli and boarded the bus. It was another 2:30 min drive, reached AP Tourism's Hotel at 1:30pm near Nagarjun Sagar.

Hotel was good, had south indian meals. These snaps are from the
hotel. and started at 2:00pm for boating. Reached near launch in 10min by bus. Guide bought boat tickets for all of us. There is a museum called Nagarjuna konda Museum. We have to go there by boat. Boat journey was for 1hr.
